Firm delivers more sales jobs in Connecticut

H.J. Baker & Bro., an agricultural firm, said it has hired a crop advisor for sales jobs in Connecticut.

John Gladden, a Certified Crop Advisor, has joined the company’s Fertilizer Division as the Eastern Regional Sales Manager.

Gladden will oversee sales efforts for all of H. J. Baker’s TIGER® Sulphur Bentonite products throughout Eastern Canada, New England, the Mid-Atlantic and the Southeastern United States.

The impetus behind the hire was the need Fertilizer Group in response to increased demand for its TIGER Sulphur Bentonite products.

McPolin will serve as director of customer strategies for LRO. McPolin was senior vice president, client management for American Utility Management, where he established a client management team to focus on strategic multifamily clients in the areas of energy management and utility billing.

He previously was a Sales Manager for Chem Nut Inc., marketing micronutrients to their members and outside accounts.

Mark Hochgesang, Director of Sales for H. J. Baker’s Fertilizer Group said, “As demand increases for our TIGER® Sulphur Bentonite products, we will continue to add to our sales team to ensure we offer the best possible customer service in the industry. John understands that we put customers first and I know our customers will enjoy working with him very much.”
