Company recognized as best place for Connecticut jobs

Posted on December 10, 2011

OpenSky Corporation has been awarded for being one of the best places for Connecticut jobs.

The IT consulting firm said it has been named Top Workplace in the Small Business division in Connecticut. In addition, OpenSky was honored as the company where employees feel “Most Appreciated”.

Workplace Dynamics, a national surveying firm, conducted a confidential survey of 793 companies. The survey solicited responses on six workplace factors, including Direction, Conditions, Career, Execution, Managers, and Pay and Benefits. 19,452 employee surveys were completed and from those results, 45 companies were named to the 2011 Top Workplaces in Connecticut list. OpenSky was ranked first or second in five of the six categories, and was fourth in Pay and Benefit, for small businesses. These exceptional results led to OpenSky’s win in its category.

“Workplace Dynamics has conducted surveys with over 3,000 companies this year, and I very rarely see a company receive so many first place assessments,” said Marissa Winter, Manager of Client Services at Workplace Dynamics LLP. “OpenSky’s top results in more than half of the categories surveyed are a testament to the engaging culture that they’ve fostered.”

OpenSky was founded in 2007 by five IT consulting veterans to serve the needs of large corporations requiring expert IT consulting support. The company has experienced rapid growth in its employee base since launching, opening five offices across the country to service clients as well as vetting and hiring over 100 employees and 750 independent consultants to staff projects.
