CNA jobs in Connecticut expected to grow

Home health jobs are huge right now, and that means more CNA jobs in Connecticut.

Home health aides, veterinary technologists/technicians, and diagnostic medical sonographers lead the list of health care occupations expected to grow the most over the next decade, according to new research from CareerBuilder and EMSI (Economic Modeling Specialists International).

The top 10 health care occupations expected to have the most growth 2013-2023 are:

1. Home Health Aides

· # of jobs in 2013 – 1,086,244

· # of projected jobs in 2023 – 1,562,590

· Percentage of change – 44 percent

2. Veterinary Technologists and Technicians

· # of jobs in 2013 – 86,026

· # of projected jobs in 2023 – 119,881

· Percentage of change – 39 percent

· Education – Associate’s degree

3. Diagnostic Medical Sonographers

· # of jobs in 2013 – 58,478

· # of projected jobs in 2023 – 77,806

· Percentage of change – 33 percent

· Education – Associate’s degree

4. Physical Therapist Assistants

· # of jobs in 2013 – 71,957

· # of projected jobs in 2023 – 94,825

5. Occupational Therapy Assistants
