AT&T hiring for technical jobs in Connecticut

Wireless giant AT&T said this week it is hiring for technical jobs in Connecticut.
Today, AT&T announced it will host a job fair this week in Hartford to help fill more than 130 open positions in Connecticut. These new jobs, including both management and technical positions, are a direct result of the continued expansion of AT&T’s growing wireless and U-verse business segments. In fact, as announced late last month, AT&T invested more than $750 million in its Connecticut wireless and wireline networks from 2008 through 2010.
Open positions include, but are not limited to: installation technicians for AT&T’s U-verse television and high-speed Internet service, retail sales and sales management, network repair technicians, door-to-door sales, and service representatives. The majority of the positions are union-represented and all offer competitive wages and benefits.
“It’s good to see AT&T creating good union jobs with good pay and benefits, right here in Connecticut,” said Bill Henderson, president of the Communications Workers of America Local 1298. “We look forward to seeing the jobs filled soon and stand ready to work with AT&T to bring even more jobs to Connecticut.”
