University of Connecticut Department of Dining Services Chef and Chef Assistant Opportunities The Department of Dining Services at the University of Connecticut has openings for full time; non-state Chefs and Chef Assistants in its Residential and Retail Dining and Catering Facilities. The ideal candidates should have experience in institutional or catering operations. Competitive benefits/ health insurance/pension package. The starting union rate is $18.38 per hour for a Chef and $15.23 per hour for a Chef Assistant. The schedules usually include nights and weekends.
