The Oliver Wolcott Library in Litchfield seeks a part-time Data Entry Clerk to help provide data entry and retrieval support for our fundraising efforts. The Data Entry Clerk will enter all data and prepare all reports as needed to support our fundraising efforts.  

The Oliver Wolcott Library is located in historic and beautiful Litchfield, Connecticut. It is a highly engaged, educated community. The Oliver Wolcott Library is an innovative, dynamic and vibrant library. We are well-loved in our community and have an excellent team of staff, board trustees, volunteers and patrons.

The Data Entry Clerk will enter, maintain, and manage all the data entry for and into our fundraising databases. The Data Entry Clerk will also create all reports as needed and requested from this data.  The Data Entry Clerk will also create thank you letters, donor giving signs, bid sheets, and other supportive documents that is derived from this data.

 

Proficient in data entry and donor database systems. Ease in working with common technology tools.

Qualifications include:  Proficient in Excel. Ease in working with common technology tools. Ability to learn new data entry software programs. Demonstrated and proven experience with data entry. Attention to detail and accuracy required. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. Ability to work with frequent interruptions, work well under deadlines, and be detail oriented. Ability to work with a flexible schedule and to effectively manage time to ensure all goals and deadlines are consistently met.

From most of the year, 15 hours a week. From October through mid-January, 22 to 25 hours per week. $15 to 20 per hour depending on experience. No benefits. Flexible schedule but must work at the library. Note: This position requires working the Monday through Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and the Friday through Tuesday following Thanksgiving in order to support the Festival of Trees annual fundraising event.
